Senior Occupational Health Nurse Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced occupational health advisor to join our team in delivering an effective and efficient occupational health service to our staff. As part of NHS England's Growing Occupational Health Vision, we are undergoing a period of significant change focused on improving the health and wellbeing of our staff.

The post holder will work as an essential member of the occupational health and wellbeing team, supporting the delivery of a high-quality service. Although the job base is Skidby House, this role allows flexible hours and working arrangements, including home-based working options and hybrid options.

To achieve our aims, we are looking for a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated individual who can communicate effectively across a wide group of individuals. The ideal candidate will be highly confident, have excellent communication skills, proficient IT skills, and a flexible pro-active approach to manage a varied and demanding workload.

Person Specification
  • Registration with NMC Part 1
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of professional accountability in the scope of professional practice.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in NHS occupational health
Experience
  • Managing complex cases; must have experience in mentoring/facilitation/teaching/assessing/coaching.
  • Broad experience in Occupational Health
  • Minimum of 12 months working in a healthcare environment
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Able to manage the occupational health team in manager's absence.
