About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Care in Mind. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 16-30 with mental health needs.

Job Summary:

  • The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team to provide personalized support and therapy to young people with complex mental health issues.
  • This role involves working with young people to promote independence, build positive relationships, and develop life skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, be able to maintain a professional working boundary, and possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting young people with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, food shopping, and medication administration.
  • Assisting with everyday life skills, including budgeting, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Encouraging and supporting young people to participate in activities outside of the home, promoting socialization and personal development.
  • Maintaining accurate records of young people's progress and well-being.

Person Specification:

  • A level 2 qualification in care or equivalent experience.
  • An understanding of the issues faced by young people with mental health needs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A full manual UK driving license.
