Canine Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Canine Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at The Retreat, Canine Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to our canine clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of canine clients to determine their rehabilitation requirements, taking into account their current condition, pre-existing health concerns, and referral information from their veterinary practice or surgeon.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to achieve the best possible therapy outcomes for our canine clients.
  • Work closely with canine clients' owners to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Liaise with veterinary practices, surgeons, and other complementary therapists as necessary to ensure comprehensive care for our canine clients.
  • Promote the benefits of hydrotherapy and physiotherapy to our canine clients and their owners.
Key Tasks:
  • Develop and deliver treatment plans to support the well-being, health, and rehabilitation of our canine clients.
  • Communicate effectively with owners, veterinary practices, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care and rehabilitation for our canine clients.
  • Respond to inquiries from the public and requests for information from owners, veterinary practices, and other stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
  • Foster strong relationships with canine clients and their owners by applying a patient, sensitive, and tactful approach to client care.
  • Contribute to the development of educational programs and workshops to educate canine owners and veterinary practices on the benefits of hydrotherapy and physiotherapy.
  • Participate in social media and advertising campaigns to promote our services and raise awareness about the benefits of hydrotherapy and physiotherapy for canine clients.
  • Maintain accurate records, write reports, and complete general administrative duties as required.
  • Ensure the centre is maintained in accordance with all applicable health and safety regulations and is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the business' goals and vision by being flexible, adaptable, and sharing knowledge, expertise, and ideas.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a canine hydrotherapy qualification (minimum Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals) and ideally a qualification in veterinary physiotherapy.
