The Retreat, Canine Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-time Veterinary Hydrotherapist/Physiotherapist to join our team.

We are committed to providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services for dogs of all breeds and sizes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping dogs recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their overall well-being.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of each dog's rehabilitation needs, taking into account their current condition, medical history, and referral information from veterinary practices or surgeons.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each dog's specific requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes for every patient.
  • Collaborate closely with dog owners, providing guidance and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain effective communication with referring veterinarians and other complementary therapists involved in the dog's care.
  • Promote the benefits of hydrotherapy and physiotherapy to dog owners and the wider community.

Key Tasks:

  • Provide expert hydrotherapy and physiotherapy treatments to support dogs' health, well-being, and rehabilitation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with dog owners, veterinarians, and other stakeholders regarding each dog's progress and treatment plan.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries from the public, dog owners, insurance companies, veterinary practices, and complementary therapists.
  • Build strong relationships with clients by demonstrating empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to their dogs' well-being.
  • Contribute to educational initiatives, such as workshops and informational programs, to raise awareness about the benefits of hydrotherapy and physiotherapy for dogs.
  • Participate in marketing efforts, including social media campaigns and promotional materials, to enhance the visibility of our services.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and handle administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure that our facility adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

Candidates should possess a canine hydrotherapy qualification (minimum Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals) and ideally, a qualification in veterinary physiotherapy.
