About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Minstrell Engineering. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our team of skilled trade operatives deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service to our clients. This will involve supervising and guiding the team, conducting regular site visits, and managing performance and conduct issues.

You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing changes to enhance operational performance and customer excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and guide a team of skilled trade operatives to ensure high-quality work is delivered on time.
  2. Conduct regular site visits to ensure a high standard of work is maintained.
  3. Manage performance and conduct issues in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  4. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to enhance operational performance and customer excellence.
  5. Responsible for a company vehicle that transports tools and materials, including regular vehicle checks and maintenance.
  6. Ensure operatives' company vehicles are clean and maintained in accordance with fleet requirements.
  7. Display a high level of customer care when dealing with enquiries from tenants and leaseholders.
Requirements
  1. Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ 2-3 equivalent relevant experience.
  2. At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
  3. Working knowledge of statutory legislation with regards to health & safety.
  4. Previous experience of working in a Social Housing Repairs environment is desirable.
  5. Able to drive and hold a full clean driving licence.
