The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Magnetic Development Engineer to join our team. As a leader in the field of fusion energy, we are committed to advancing the state-of-the-art in magnetic technology and developing new materials and systems for next-generation reactors.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the development and implementation of advanced magnetic technologies, including HTS magnets. You will work closely with our industry partners and academic institutions to identify opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing, and develop strategies to leverage the economic case for HTS magnet technology.

You will have a PhD or equivalent level of experience in a relevant field, such as materials science or engineering physics. You will also have a proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering innovative solutions, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
