Job Title: Surveillance Function Head

Company Overview:
We are a leading securities firm based in the City, and we are seeking an experienced Surveillance Function Head to join our Compliance Professionals team. This role is critical in ensuring our firm's compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a risk-based approach to surveillance activities.

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our Surveillance function, working closely with Trade Surveillance analysts to conduct trade surveillance and front office monitoring activities. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Leading regular reviews of our surveillance activities to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
  3. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a consistent and effective risk-based approach is deployed across the trading floor.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  1. 5+ years of relevant experience in trade surveillance/market abuse financial Compliance related roles.
  2. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
