Role Overview:

  • Consent Management:

    Austin Fraser seeks a seasoned Infrastructure Consents Specialist to oversee the management and discharge of consents, permits, and approvals for infrastructure projects in the utilities sector. This role involves acting as the key liaison between project teams, statutory authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations.

    Key Responsibilities:

  1. Securing Consents: Lead the process of securing, managing, and discharging consents in compliance with NRSWA, Electricity Act, Telecommunications Act, and other relevant legislation. Develop and maintain relationships with statutory bodies, including local authorities, utilities providers, and regulatory agencies.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in legislation and provide advice to the business on their potential impact. Ensure all consents are obtained, maintained, and recorded in line with project and legal requirements.
  3. Risk Management: Monitor project compliance with conditions set out by authorities.

    Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in utilities consents management, particularly in the context of NRSWA, Electricity Act, and Telecommunications Act.
  • Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements governing utilities and infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of working with statutory bodies and regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple consents across concurrent projects.
  • Experience in the utilities, highways, or rail sectors is highly desirable.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory documentation.
  • Proficiency in using project management and documentation software.

    Compensation:

Austin Fraser offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
