At AXA XL, we're seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster to join our Motor claims team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in managing and resolving claims for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Proficiently handle all aspects of claims within your authority to good technical standards and quality.
- Efficiently handle claims above your personal authority under the referral system.
- Provide a quality claims service, including effective handling of claims and compliance with required service standards.
- Maintain and build on existing customer relationships and encourage business retention through contacts with clients and brokers.
- Receive claims notifications, assess estimates, and negotiate claims up to and including settlement within your personal authority.
- Consider Third Party liabilities, detect fraud, and take correct action to preserve and maximise recoveries.
- Previous experience in handling motor claims, including first notification of loss, accidental damage, third party property damage, and third party credit hire claims.
- An understanding of how the Claims function operates, including the lifecycle of the claim.
- A good awareness of the legal process, including litigation.
- Experience in controlling loss adjusters, solicitors, and experts in connection with day-to-day claims handling.
- Ability to operate to tight deadlines in a pressured environment.
- An inquisitive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and good telephone, written, and verbal communication skills.
