About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our team as a Children's Health Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our dedicated team to provide high-quality health services to children and young people in Cheshire East.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide specialist advice and support to children and young people, their families, and other professionals on health and wellbeing issues.
- To work collaboratively with the multi-agency team to ensure that the views of children and young people, and healthcare workers in linked services can influence the development of Cared for Children clinical practice within East Cheshire.
- To contribute to the planning and delivery of multi-agency and Trust training, and to develop and participate in clinical audits.
- To work as part of the Integrated multi-agency team, ensuring that the Safeguarding Strategy is implemented across the borough and that all practitioners can access advice and support about health needs of children and young people.
Requirements
- Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse or RSCN
- Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience as Health Visitor, School Nurse or RSCN, with significant experience of Safeguarding Children processes
- Sound working knowledge of Community Health Care provision
- Awareness of the legislative framework underpinning children's health provision, safeguarding children and looked after children
