Colleague Experience Advisor

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Colleague Experience Advisor. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and implementing programmes of work that promote diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing across the organisation.
As a Colleague Experience Advisor, you will work closely with colleagues and managers to advise on all matters relating to diversity and inclusion. You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating diversity and inclusion programmes, ensuring compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements, and providing specialist advice and guidance to managers and colleagues.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, specialist qualifications in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and experience in a Diversity and Inclusion focussed role or people focused/HR role. You will also have excellent communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive situations in an empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate manner.

Main Responsibilities
• Supporting the Inclusion, Accessibility and Social Impact Lead and the Wellbeing, Safeguarding and Social Impact Lead in the delivery of relevant strategies, across all aspects of inclusion
• Monitoring and evaluating diversity and inclusion programmes in support of the wider business strategy and corporate objectives
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory and mandatory requirements for diversity and inclusion generally
• Providing specialist advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across the organisation on all aspects of diversity and inclusion
• Supporting the creation and roll out of diversity and inclusion delivery plans; analysis of workforce data and use of external benchmarking to inform our work
Person Specification
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification or significant equivalent experience
• Specialist qualifications/training in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion or equivalent experience
• Experience in a Diversity and Inclusion focussed role or people focused/HR role
• Experience of advising, influencing and working with colleagues and managers (e.g., wellbeing, safeguarding, mental health and domestic abuse)
• Experience of developing and implementing programmes of work and initiatives
• Data analysis: using an evidence-based approach to underpin decision making, to make improvements and recommendations
• Experience of responding to complex complaints and queries and using relevant best practice and legislation to support the recommendation or response
• Experience of working in a customer focused environment interpreting relevant diversity and inclusion policy, standards and best practice
• Project management experience such as delivering objectives and aims set out in delivery/action plans
• Experience of supporting/co-chairing or working with colleague or staff networks
