Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Duty Manager to join our team at Irlam Associates Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the Heathrow Workshop operations to deliver exceptional customer service, while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all servicing, repairs, and maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently, in accordance with HAL regulations.
  2. Develop and implement effective workshop loading plans and job priorities to meet customer requirements.
  3. Manage resources to ensure the right technical expertise is available to meet demand, while maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
  4. Allocate jobs in an organized and effective manner to meet SLAs and customer operational requirements.
  5. Monitor and manage SLAs to meet customer requirements and fleet utilization.
  6. Provide support to all areas of the business as required, including Ramp, Parts Department, and Call Centre.
  7. Ensure the workshop and yard areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, and in accordance with company Health & Safety guidelines.
  8. Be accountable for the safety and wellbeing of all staff airside and landside.
  9. Identify and mitigate top safety risks, and investigate all safety incidents to prevent re-occurrence.
  10. Attend monthly safety governance group meetings and progress agreed safety actions to closure.

Requirements:

  • Customer-oriented and service delivery-focused.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).
  • Operational expertise desirable.
  • Proven experience in a management or supervisory capacity, with strong people management skills and the ability to lead a team.
  • Literate, analytical, and numerate.
  • Good financial understanding and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of workshop procedures and systems.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems.
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused pressurized environment.
