Environmental Line of Business Manager

AIG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Insurance professional to lead our UK Environmental team. As a key member of our Underwriting team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the UK Environmental strategy to deliver sustainable profit within target appetite and underwriting controls and governance.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute UK Environmental strategy and P&L, including production and profitability through targeted Must Win Battles in collaboration with the London Casualty Manager & Head of International Environmental
- Drive the AIG Value Proposition to clients and brokers by integrating claims, engineering/CRS and multinational capabilities into day-to-day underwriting practices
- Lead the UK Environmental underwriting teams and drive consistent underwriting best practices and adherence to underwriting guidelines and pricing guardrails
- Ensure audits, quality reviews and peer reviews are robustly monitored and measured, including implementation of action steps to improve underwriting results
- Oversee portfolio management to direct strategic underwriting decisions to ensure financial and underwriting objectives are achieved
- In-depth understanding of the UK Environmental insurance market
- Proven and existing key relationships within the UK Environmental market
- Broad-based Environmental underwriting experience
- Ability to manage, direct, coach and develop a team of professional staff
