Financial Controller Job Description

Pembrook Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely production of accurate monthly Management Accounts, providing detailed analysis and commentary.

The role involves investigative and analytical support across the business, evaluating profit optimisation and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for the on-going reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, manufacturer composite data submission, and enforcement of debtor and creditor controls.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to manage and coach staff, and have a positive attitude that creates a good working environment for finance and admin departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely production of accurate monthly Management Accounts
  • Investigative and analytical support across the business
  • On-going reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Manufacturer composite data submission
  • Enforcement of debtor and creditor controls
  • Review and approval of all payments
  • Vehicle deal file audits
  • Provision of data for year-end audit purposes
  • Compilation and validation of annual budget submission
  • Collation and submission of payroll requirements
  • Assisting managers and minute taking in disciplinary procedures
  • Management of Finance and Vehicle Admin teams
  • Various ad hoc duties
