Mental Health Support Worker

GSL Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join a supportive team in Winchester.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalised support to individuals facing mental health issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to individuals facing mental health challenges.
  • Assist in creating and implementing personalised care plans.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing atmosphere.
  • Regularly monitor and document progress.
  • Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
  • Work alongside other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Mental Health Support Worker position is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health issues and relevant safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
  • A patient and understanding approach.
