About the Role

At Jacobs, we're seeking a skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Solutions team. As a key member of our Operational Delivery Support Team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Small Module Reactor frameworks across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage schedules to incorporate risk, change, resource requirements, and cost in accordance with Jacobs' requirements and standards.
  • Create plans for the full project lifecycle, including development and design for the Small Module Reactor Programme in the UK.
  • Provide cost management support to the Framework teams and monitor, control, and forecast costs during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure effective project delivery.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • A minimum of HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience.
  • Breadth of experience across the whole project and programme lifecycle, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning.
  • Good working knowledge of financial systems.
  • Understanding of the inter-relationship between time, cost, and commercial aspects of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with the latest version of Primavera.
  • Ability to reconcile cost information and communicate effectively at all levels of management.
