About the Opportunity

Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Solutions Project Controls team. This is a key role within our Operational Delivery Support Team, supporting our key frameworks for Small Module Reactors across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage schedules to incorporate risk, change, resource requirements, and cost in accordance with Jacobs requirements and standards.
  • Create plans for the full project lifecycle, including development and design for the Small Module Reactor Programme in the UK.
  • Provide cost management support to the Framework teams and monitor, control, and forecast costs during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain robust Work Breakdown and Project Control Structures in accordance with Investment Delivery processes, templates, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience.
  • Breadth of experience across the whole project and programme lifecycle, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning.
  • Good working knowledge of financial systems and the inter-relationship between time, cost, and commercial aspects of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with the latest version of Primavera and proficiency in estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk tools, as well as Earned Value Analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management and produce monthly reports to an agreed reporting cycle.
