We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at AF Blakemore & Son Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our ambient warehouse operation.

About the Role:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock management and minimizing stock discrepancies
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to achieve business objectives and goals
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory levels, stock movements, and staff performance
  • Provide coaching and guidance to warehouse staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Identify and address any operational issues or concerns, escalating to the Operations Manager as necessary

About You:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics management role, preferably in a food distribution environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes, including stock control and reconciliation
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational issues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
