Job Description

Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Priory Group.

Job Summary

This role involves providing a service to three hospitals, focusing on active rehabilitation and recovery for individuals with mental illnesses and personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for speech and language therapy services, ensuring effective application and communication.
  2. Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking assessments to identify and prioritize patient needs, and planning and delivering appropriate interventions on an individual or group basis.
  3. Maintain accurate and timely records, detailing each patient's rehabilitation and progression.
  4. Ensure the effective and efficient management of yourself.
  5. Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with policies, procedures, and professional codes.
  6. Comply with statutory regulations and quality standards.
  7. Contribute to business growth by actively promoting Priory therapy services in line with the local business plans.
  8. Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and commissioners and other external professionals, as necessary, throughout the patient's recovery and rehabilitation.
