SEND Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching & Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Supplygo Ltd. The successful candidate will work at a couple of Specialist SEND Schools in the Belper & Matlock Area, providing support to children aged 4-20 years old with Autism, ADHD, Developmental Language Disorder, and other associated learning difficulties.
The schools specialise in working with students with Autism, ADHD, Global Development Delay, Visual & Hearing Impairments, and have a wide range of Speech & Language staff and Occupational Therapists. As a member of our team, you will be part of a child's ongoing development and route to independence, working closely with other professionals to create a fun and nurturing environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Form strong relationships with the children in your care
- Help children become more independent
- Provide emotional support to children within the class
- Work with other education and SEND professionals
- Contribute to a child's development plan
Requirements:
- Empathy towards children with SEND
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Patience and understanding when working with children
