Job Opportunity for a Talented HLTA

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting.

About the Role

  • Deliver whole class cover during the absence of the class teacher or during PPA cover
  • Support the teacher in personalising the curriculum to allow students to thrive
  • Support the teacher with planning of future lessons
  • Implement the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding students
  • Establish and maintain an enjoyable and safe learning environment
  • Engage students in their lessons and foster a love for learning

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support a diverse range of needs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools, Level 4 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualifications in nursery work or childcare
