Job Title: Clinical Lead for Dermatology

About the Role:

The Clinical Lead for Dermatology will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise to the team, ensuring high standards of care are delivered across all sites and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide indirect clinical supervision and leadership to specialty Consultants, ensuring high standards of care are delivered at all times.
  • Support recruitment functions through networking and advocacy on behalf of the company, and be responsible for interview and approval of all doctor-grade clinicians across the specialty.
  • Set and periodically review clinical standards for the specialty, including minimum competence standards, log book data requirements, and specialty-specific updates and CPD requirements.
  • Support the Medical Director and Director of Nursing in management of Clinical Teams, including conduct reviews, incident investigation, disciplinary hearings, and other Clinical Governance processes.
  • Support ongoing excellence in care delivery by leading on audits, review of KPIs, and ongoing maintenance of clinical standards and care delivery.

Person Specification:

  • Essential:
    • Dermatology or Plastics Consultant with at least 2 years' experience post-CCT.
    • Exceptional clinical standards, to act as lead clinical for the specialty with credibility among peers.
    • Experience of complaint management and governance.
    • Experience of networking and business development.
