About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Biogen (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anaerobic digestion plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Manager with the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities, including routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including confined space entry and working at heights.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

We have a combined network of nineteen AD plants located across England, Scotland, and Wales, providing cost-effective, low-carbon food and organic waste management solutions to supermarkets, the hospitality industry, food manufacturers, and local authorities.

Requirements
  • Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience in a related process industry.
  • Experience in engineering, PLC controls, or electronics is an advantage.
  • Ability to follow procedure and protocol, with experience of cost control and working within budget.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and a great team player, with the ability to work independently.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to operate a telehandler truck.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary of £40k - £44k per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Allowance, overtime, and bonus.
  • 23 days leave (equivalent to 6.6 weeks holiday).
