About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Biogen UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anaerobic digestion (AD) plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Manager with the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System to ensure optimal plant performance and efficiency.
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure safe and cost-effective operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our AD process and equipment to provide expert maintenance and troubleshooting support.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality management systems.
Requirements
  • Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience in a related process industry.
  • Experience in engineering, PLC controls, or electronics is an advantage.
  • Hold a qualification or possess experience in materials handling, confined spaces, working at heights, and first aid.
  • Ability to follow procedure and protocol, with experience of cost control and working within budget.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and a great team player with the ability to work independently.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £40k - £44k per annum, dependent on experience, plus allowance, overtime, and bonus.
  • 23 days leave (equivalent to 6.6 weeks holiday), 4% employer pension, and x4 life assurance.
