Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Clinical Safety Officer to join our team at Public Health Wales. As a key member of our Data, Knowledge and Research Directorate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our digital health systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement clinical risk management processes to ensure the safe development, procurement, and implementation of digital health systems.
  • Sign off clinical safety management records associated with the maintenance of standards DCB0129 and DCB0160.
  • Evaluate and test digital systems to assess their impact on clinical areas and identify potential safety risks.
  • Produce safety case reports, risk and hazards logs to facilitate improvement and resolution of clinical safety incidents.
  • Collaborate with digital, informatics, cyber security, clinicians, user design, information governance teams, and other specialist areas to design solutions that ensure clinical safety.

Requirements
  • Current professional registration with a regulatory body within Health or Social Care.
  • Post graduate diploma level qualification or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Patient Safety Investigation qualification RCA/SEIPS.
  • Evidence of continuing professional and/or personal self-development.
  • NHS Digital Clinical Safety Accreditation.
