About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Bid Estimator to join our team at Galliford Try within our Facilities Management Business.

The ideal candidate will be based in or around Solihull and will have extensive experience of estimating from first principles within the Facilities Management market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inputting a tender win strategy for each individual tender, actively engaging and developing long-term relationships with key supply chain organisations, and identifying opportunities for margin growth, risks, and producing the associated risk register.

They will also participate in post-tender interviews, presentations, and negotiations with clients and ensure the successful handover to delivery teams following award.

The Bid Estimator will develop innovative approaches to differentiate the bid from competitors, collate targeted feedback on successful projects, and provide advice for future tenders.

They will prepare submission documents in line with the bid and corporate requirements, attend tender settlement meetings, and complete the tender as instructed.

The successful candidate will also develop standard pricing templates for use in the compilation and review of bid pricing and collaborate with other parts of the company to compile pricing and benchmarking data.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter with extensive experience of estimating from first principles within the Facilities Management market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen and good analytical skills, a collaborative attitude, and an understanding of Conditions of Contract and Specifications.

They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience in risk management techniques, a high level of commercial awareness and technical knowledge, and an awareness of individual Health and Safety responsibilities.
