We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Academics to join our team at EDEX. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering programs and schemes of work that meet the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Lead on the development and delivery of schemes of work for careers lessons and enrichment activities.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide advice and guidance to students on their options post-16 and 18, including opportunities for Oxbridge, medicine, dentistry, and veterinary science.
  • External Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with local employers, universities, and professional organizations to provide work experience opportunities and visits.
  • Communication: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote careers and higher education opportunities to students, parents, and staff.
  • Event Planning: Organize and manage careers and higher education days, work experience opportunities, and other events to support student learning and development.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree or professional qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of developing and delivering programs and schemes of work.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students, parents, and staff.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of careers and higher education guidelines, standards, and options, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements.
