Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Educational Support Specialist to join our team at the National Skills Agency.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver GCSEs and Functional Skills support to learners, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.
  • Conduct initial assessments and diagnostics to understand each learner's starting point and skills development requirements.
  • Facilitate face-to-face learning sessions in academies, promoting group work and collaboration.
  • Participate in planning meetings to enhance curriculum design and adhere to client and awarding body standards.
  • Develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) with SMART targets and review points, ensuring learners meet their goals.
  • Maintain accurate registers using our e-portfolio and log quality teaching samples to track progress.
  • Monitor learner attendance and performance, reporting to management as necessary.
  • Provide support systems for positive retention, achievement, and progression.
  • Meet deadlines for assessment and documentation to comply with awarding body, funding body, and organisational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the GCSE manager to achieve delivery targets.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
Role Requirements:
  • Qualified Tutor with a minimum Level 3 specialism.
  • At least 2 years' experience teaching GCSEs/Functional Skills.
  • Teaching Qualification at a minimum Level 3.
  • Valid Driving Licence.
