Job Title: Sports and Behaviour Mentor

Link3 Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sports and Behaviour Mentor to join our team in a Secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will have a background in sports and a desire to work with students, providing mentorship and support to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one and group mentorship sessions to students, focusing on sports engagement and behavioural development.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of sports-related activities and programs within the school.
  • Support students in developing positive behaviour and social skills both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create personalized support plans for students.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Act as a positive role model for students, promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in a sports-related discipline (e.g., sports coaching, physical education).
  • Experience working with children or young people in a coaching, mentoring, or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the needs of secondary school students and the school environment.
  • Flexibility to work school hours and occasional evenings to support Parent's Evenings.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Level 3 qualification or higher in a sports-related discipline.
  • Experience working with students with behavioural or learning needs.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of additional sports or physical activities.
