Supporting Pupils with Autism and Complex Needs

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Teacher to join our team at REESON Education, an esteemed SEN school in Kent. As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and creating a supportive learning environment for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ASD/complex needs, with experience working with children aged 8-19 with severe and profound learning difficulties. You will also be able to design and implement tailored educational programs, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement bespoke educational plans to meet the unique needs of each student
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists
- Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment, promoting social and emotional well-being
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
- Engage with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates and guidance
- Lead and work collaboratively with a support team to deliver high-quality education
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Demonstrate expertise in ASD/complex needs, with a strong understanding of relevant theories and practices
- Prior experience working in special needs education settings is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
Estimated Salary Range: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
