About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of individual needs and learning styles to access learning and address challenging behaviour.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support students learning within the PBSC, either in groups or through 1:1 work, adapting and interpreting lessons and instructions to students who are working with the PBSC.
  • Contribute to the recording of students behaviour, both positive and negative, within the PBSC, in conjunction with the PBSC Co-Ordinator and other professionals as appropriate.
  • Provide regular feedback about students to tutors and Student Development Team members, and occasional clerical duties such as photocopying and collating materials.
  • Support the delivery of the literacy and mathematics strategy along with other aspects of the curriculum offered by the school.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students at the school, holding enhanced DBS clearance with children's barred list checks.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS clearance with children's barred list checks.
  • Ability to work in a supportive team and contribute to the recording of students behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and interpret lessons and instructions to students with a range of individual needs and learning styles.
