About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting in staffing junior lawyers for client matters based on experience, skills, and availability.
- Developing a deep understanding of the practice areas to match lawyers with appropriate cases.
- Supporting the firm's commitment to Diversity and Inclusion by aligning work allocation with individual development and wellbeing.
The Resource Manager will:
- Build relationships with partners to understand their resourcing needs and provide regular capacity reports.
- Monitor team utilisation and flag issues to managers in real-time.
- Maintain strong relationships with associates to understand their skills, capacity, and aspirations.
- Track and monitor time sheets, including for leavers.
The Resource Manager will conduct monthly analysis on work allocation to improve processes and address concerns, comparing forecasted vs. actual utilisation and recommending adjustments as needed.
They will also manage holiday mapping to ensure smooth work allocation.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience in work allocation/resource management in a Corporate practice.
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and proficiency in Excel for reporting.
Desirable qualifications include a Qualified Lawyer (non-practicing) and coaching and development experience, as well as familiarity with IT systems like Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
The role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels.
