Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing a new strategic operational function at VantagePoint. As a Resourcing Manager, you will primarily engage with consultants across the global practice, covering all consulting grades with a focus on building relationships to understand career objectives and provide access to experiences and relationships needed to build their careers.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute a vision for Resource Management at VantagePoint, establishing a new function within an existing consulting team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for Resource Management globally, establishing new processes and improved ways of working.
  • Lead weekly resource capacity meetings and drive effective outcomes on resourcing decisions and issue resolution.
  • Work with practice leads, operations, and finance functions to resolve issues regarding under or over allocations of resource.
  • Assist line managers in mapping consultants' skills to project needs, ensuring the right expertise is available for each project.
  • Provide regular data reports, sharing insights on staffing trends and utilisation metrics with leadership and key stakeholders, presenting key findings at a regular cadence.
  • Maintain constant knowledge of current and upcoming projects and business development activities as they relate to resourcing across the organisation.
  • Resource planning to identify potential gaps or surpluses in capacity and make adjustments accordingly.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in resource allocation and/or resource management, ideally within a large or scaling professional services environment.
  • Strong technology skills, with experience working with resource management software a plus.
  • Proven ability to enable and drive positive change.
  • Strong commercial and business awareness.
  • Outstanding skills in diplomacy and negotiation.
  • Strong project management and presentation skills.
  • Client service focus.
  • Proactive and resourceful, taking initiative.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
