Resource Manager

FTI Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Resource Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assigning the right resources to the right clients at the right time, while balancing and optimizing employee growth, client results, and business metrics.
About the Role:
The Resource Manager will be responsible for developing, owning, managing, and driving the project resourcing and capacity management process. This includes working with practice leadership to develop project-specific skill standards, providing regular reporting on staff availability and capacity data, and meeting regularly with employees to understand their growth needs and project preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project resourcing and capacity management processes
- Work with practice leadership to develop project-specific skill standards
- Provide regular reporting on staff availability and capacity data
- Meet regularly with employees to understand their growth needs and project preferences
- Drive analysis of additional resource management tools needed
- Promote understanding of firm economics and achieve retention, utilization, workload balance, diversity initiatives, and broad-base experience targets
- Work with practice leads to ensure staffing needs, utilization potential, and shortages and surpluses are proactively identified
- Collaborate with operations and finance on talent planning needs
Requirements:
- Experience in resourcing projects, personnel demand planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Experience in professional services industry such as a management consultancy or law firm is preferred
- Ability to build rapport and gain trust with all levels of personnel, and high emotional intelligence
- Strong proficiency using Windows and related software such as Microsoft business products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI)
