Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Job Summary:
Ornua Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team in Ledbury. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on process machinery and equipment
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and apprentices
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in engineering and maintenance, preferably in a similar environment
- Education to L3 or equivalent in Engineering or Maintenance
- Electrical or welding/fabrication experience
- Familiarity with process machinery or equivalent equipment and ability to fault find
- Mechanical fitting skills
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and apprentices
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Basic IT knowledge to support with shift handover
