Senior Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:
Ornua Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements, increasing efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our production processes and equipment, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and maintenance personnel, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in engineering and maintenance, preferably in a similar environment.
- Education to L3 or equivalent in Engineering or Maintenance.
- Electrical or welding/fabrication experience, with the ability to fault-find and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Strong mechanical fitting skills, with the ability to work with a variety of equipment and machinery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Basic IT knowledge, with the ability to support with shift handover and other administrative tasks.
