About the Role:

Ornua Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our production processes and equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, reporting any incidents or near-misses to management.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in engineering and maintenance, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to fault-find and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Basic IT knowledge, with the ability to support with shift handover and other administrative tasks.
