Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer

Job Summary:

Ornua Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team in Ledbury. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on process machinery and equipment
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and apprentices

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in engineering and maintenance, preferably in a similar environment
  • Education to L3 or equivalent in Engineering or Maintenance
  • Electrical or welding/fabrication experience
  • Familiarity with process machinery or equivalent equipment and ability to fault find
  • Mechanical fitting skills
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and apprentices
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Basic IT knowledge to support with shift handover
