We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technologist to join our team at Pilgrims Europe. As an Engineering Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal efficiency.

With a strong background in electrical or related fields, you will possess excellent fault-finding skills and mechanical aptitude. Your knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs will enable you to respond to breakdowns and implement corrective actions effectively.

In this dynamic role, you will work closely with internal departments and external contractors to develop and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity. A flexible and proactive approach is essential for meeting the overall needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair equipment to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance
  • Respond to breakdowns and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Liaise with internal departments and external contractors

Requirements:

  • Educational qualifications: Electrical or related field
  • Strong fault-finding skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use CMMS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and proactive approach

Estimated Salary: £52,000 per annum depending on experience.
