About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Records System Support Specialist to join our team at Solent NHS Trust. As a key member of our Information Systems team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for our clinical records systems, ensuring that staff can use these systems proficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead on all operational changes to Solent NHS Trust Clinical Records Systems, working closely with clinical services to promote best practice and regular communication with service users.
  • Support the Product Specialists in managing and actioning all requests for change to Solent NHS Trust Clinical Records Systems, liaising with suppliers for any functional changes that fall outside system administration functionality.
  • Maintain operational support of various national HSCIC applications and key local systems, ensuring the day-to-day running of a quality service, including the investigation of appropriate calls logged to the Service Desk.
  • Provide an effective interface between users and system providers, supplying all necessary diagnostic information according to established procedures, and monitoring progress and applying escalation procedures for problems not progressing satisfactorily.
  • Provide sufficient cover during day-to-day operations and system upgrades.
  • Attend external meetings and actively participate, particularly TPP SystmOne User Groups for Solent NHS Trust, to advise on build and support.

About Us

Solent NHS Trust is working with other local NHS Trusts to create a new organisation, bringing together all community, mental health and learning disability services from across Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Subject to approvals, the aim is for the new Trust to be formed by the end of 2024.

Project Fusion is the name for the programme to create the new combined NHS Foundation Trust. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be bringing the services into a single organisation, resulting in more consistent care, more equitable access to services irrespective of postcode, and a more sustainable workforce and services.

The new organisation will operate locally to ensure services can best meet the needs of different communities.

Colleagues will transfer to the new organisation under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) - known as TUPE - on the day the trust is formed. TUPE is a legal process to ensure you transfer out of one organisation and into another, maintaining the terms and conditions of your employment.
