We are seeking a senior legal advisor to join our team and contribute to our ongoing commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of providing expert legal advice and representation in a policing context.

The role offers a competitive salary of £84,204.00 per annum, plus a range of benefits including annual leave, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.

**Job Description:**

The senior legal advisor will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to police officers and staff on a wide range of matters, including claims for wrongful arrest, damage to property, and public law elements such as inquests and judicial reviews.

The team strives to keep officers and staff informed of new legislation and case law while learning lessons from cases and claims.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with some contentious experience who is willing and able to undertake advocacy.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Qualified lawyer with experience of working in a policing context.
  • Strong understanding of the law and its application in a policing context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
