Head Chef Opportunity at Smyth & Co

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Smyth & Co, a sustainable upscale British restaurant in Soho. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, collaborating with directors to develop and implement seasonal ingredient sourcing and menu concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and train a team of culinary professionals to achieve exceptional food quality and safety standards.
  • Create and execute a seasonal daily-changing menu that showcases the best of British cuisine.
  • Monitor and maintain budgeted food margins while ensuring the highest quality of ingredients and presentation.
  • Demonstrate and present dishes to the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
  • Train and brief front-of-house staff on dishes and seasonal changes to ensure seamless service.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar restaurant environment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and ability to foster a positive working environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable food sourcing and menu development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with directors and other departments to achieve business objectives.
