About the Position:

Skilled Careers is a leading development business specialising in residential schemes across the UK, building new homes of Traditional Build and Timber Frame construction. We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Director to oversee quality management processes nationally, working closely with our business Operations Directors for the North and South of England.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires an individual who can work independently while also collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives, requirements, and expectations.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing Quality Standards: Developing and implementing quality standards that align with company best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, standards, regulations, and industry certifications.
  • Overseeing Quality Control: Overseeing the execution of quality control processes throughout the construction project lifecycle, monitoring workmanship, materials, and compliance with specifications.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential quality risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, such as conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and addressing issues promptly.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives, requirements, and expectations.
  • Quality Inspections and Audits: Conducting regular inspections, audits, and quality reviews of construction activities, processes, and deliverables to verify compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience operating in a Quality Management role, preferably with a Residential Developer/Main Contractor having a residential element.
  • Ability to produce quality management plans and enforce them.

Salary: £95,000 - £105,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including car allowance, hotel/expenses account, pension scheme, healthcare benefits, bonus scheme, and 25 days annual leave.
