About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires overseeing quality assurance across multiple residential construction sites nationwide.

You will ideally be based in the Kent / Sussex or Essex area with easy access to motorway networks.

Occasional overnight stays away from home may be necessary, but this will be down to your discretion.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Developing QM Policies and Procedures: Establishing and implementing quality management policies, procedures, and standards that align with industry best practices.
  2. Quality Planning: Developing quality plans for construction projects, including defining quality criteria, inspection and testing protocols, and quality assurance checkpoints.
  3. Quality Control: Overseeing the execution of quality control processes throughout the construction project lifecycle, including monitoring workmanship, materials, and compliance with specifications.
  4. Evaluating Suppliers: Evaluating and selecting reliable vendors and suppliers of construction materials and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
  5. Training and Guidance: Providing training and guidance to construction teams on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  6. Risk Management: Identifying potential quality risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, such as conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and addressing issues promptly.
  7. Quality Inspections and Audits: Conducting regular inspections, audits, and quality reviews of construction activities, processes, and deliverables to verify compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
  8. Document Control: Managing documentation related to quality assurance activities, including maintaining records of inspections, test results, non-conformities, corrective actions, and quality assurance reports.
  9. Non-Conformance Management: Investigating non-conformities, defects, and quality issues, and leading efforts to implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
  10. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, standards, regulations, and industry certifications applicable to construction projects.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Extensive experience operating in a Quality Management role ideally with a Residential Developer/Main Contractor with a residential element.
  2. Quality Management Plans: Ability to produce quality management plans and enforce them.
