About the Position: We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Neurology Specialist to join our team at an esteemed academic medical center in Birmingham, AL.

Job Description: As a General Child Neurologist, you will be responsible for treating patients at the state-of-the-art Children's of Alabama. With a rapidly expanding Division of Child Neurology, you will have the opportunity to work with 11 pediatric neurologists who specialize in various aspects of pediatric neurology, including neuro-oncology and epilepsy.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will enjoy a clinical schedule that offers great flexibility, allowing you to focus on specific areas of interest and expertise aside from general neurology. You can expect a clinical schedule of only 4 half-day clinics per week (2 full days) and approximately 6-8 weeks of inpatient service per year.

Requirements: Qualified candidates must be board eligible/certified child neurologists qualified for a medical license and certification in the state of Alabama. Fellowship is not a requirement, but candidates with subspecialty interests such as movement disorders, neurodevelopmental, epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, etc., are encouraged to apply.

Benefits: This position includes a primary faculty appointment with the UAB Department of Pediatrics and a secondary appointment with the Department of Neurology. Candidates with visa needs (J1 or H1B) are encouraged to apply.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is between $250,000 - $350,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
