Job Title: Trainee Leakage Inspector

Company Overview:

Yorkshire Water is a leading water utility company in the Yorkshire region of England, dedicated to delivering exceptional service to customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Water Distribution team as a Trainee Leakage Inspector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and master advanced leakage detection techniques to identify and prevent water losses in our network.
  • Prioritize health, safety, and wellbeing in all aspects of work, ensuring a safe working environment for self and others.
  • Develop expertise in corporate systems and IT applications to optimize leakage detection and prevention efforts.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Full EU driving license with a maximum of 6 points.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to company values.
  • Proficiency in maths and English language (GCSE Level 4 or equivalent).

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in a commercial or regulated environment.
  • Background in water, wastewater, utilities, or manufacturing.
  • Data analysis skills and knowledge of leakage principles.
