About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Independent Living Partner to join our team at Abri. As a key member of our Independent Living team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional housing management services to our customers in the Southampton/Eastleigh area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide housing management functions in designated schemes/properties for older people, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
- Act as the first point of contact for tenancy, leasehold, and scheme management for customers living in our Independent Living schemes, providing expert advice and support.
- Support customers to receive their agreed welfare contact and, when appropriate, refer customers to services within and external to Abri where these might meet an identified need.
- Manage the social alarm system, ensuring timely and effective responses to customer needs.
- Complete all compliance and health and safety checks across relevant buildings, maintaining a high level of safety and security.
- Work collaboratively to create and maintain strong resident involvement and community engagement, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work outside of normal working hours and at times when the main offices may be closed.
- Strong understanding of housing-related issues and the needs of older people, with a commitment to promoting independence and well-being.
- Confidence in using IT systems and technology, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Full driving license and access to a car, with the ability to travel across the region as required.
- DBS check and ability to work with vulnerable adults.
