Accounts Clerk

Your new role

• Verify that invoices received are accurately matched to purchase orders.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to resolve issues related to invoices received without a corresponding purchase order.
• Ensure supplier payments align with agreed-upon terms and conditions.
• Effectively manage disputed invoices with the business to ensure timely resolution.
• Oversee the accounts payable ledger to maintain robustness in all ledger balances.
• Authorize invoices without a purchase order in a timely manner.
• Resolve invoice queries with suppliers as necessary.
• Ensure transactions posted to the bank statement are accurately allocated within the ledger.
• Maintain a productive working relationship with the bank to facilitate timely investigation of transactions on the bank statement.
• Ensure cash and cheques paid are securely and timely banked.
• Manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure robustness in all ledger balances.
• Ensure cheque payments are properly authorized, and the use of cheques is the most suitable payment method.
• Maintain the sales ledger, ensuring invoices are accurately and timely raised.
• Administer debt collection arrangements in accordance with the debt collection policy and procedure.
