Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT). This role requires a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality responses to emergency referrals outside normal working hours.
- Work a rotational shift pattern, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Offer appropriate support and interventions to address safeguarding concerns for vulnerable adults, children, and families.
- Deliver accurate and reflective reports to professionals and provide out-of-hours advice and guidance.
- Be the primary point of contact for professionals, individuals, or organizations requiring urgent assistance.
- Conduct thorough crisis assessments, identifying risk levels and necessary services for safe outcomes.
- Apply professional knowledge and skills to balance protection, risk, and support for positive results.
Our Work Pattern
Your schedule will be carefully managed to ensure fairness and equity, with a combination of 'block' shift patterns. Shifts include:
- Monday to Thursday: 5pm-12:00am or 12:00am-8:30am
- Friday: 4:00pm-12:00am or 12:00am-8:30am
- Weekends: 8:30am-5:00pm or 5:00pm-12:00am or 12:00am-8:30am
Requirements
- Three years post-qualifying Social Worker experience.
