Sports Development Manager

Empowr-U CIC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering children and young people in Coventry and Warwickshire to achieve their full potential. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Sports Coach.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high-quality sports coaching programs for children and young people, focusing on empowerment, personal development, and character growth.
- Lead and manage a team of volunteers and staff to support the delivery of our programs, ensuring excellent safeguarding practices and a safe environment for all participants.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business opportunities, gaps in the market, and perceived needs of potential users, driving the growth and development of Empowr-U.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with Empowr-U workforce, clients, and partners, promoting a positive public image and reputation.
- Plan, promote, deliver, and evaluate Empowr-U activity sessions in Coventry and Warwickshire, ensuring high standards of quality and excellence.
- Support the management and development of all staff, apprentices, trainees, and volunteers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Lead or assist with Empowr-U events and projects, contributing to the organization's overall mission and vision.
- Ensure that all activities are delivered to the highest standards, adhering to Empowr-U's values and policies, including equal opportunities, child protection, and health and safety at work.
- Hold a Sport Coaching Qualification (Level 2 or above) and have experience in coaching and developing children and young people.
- Be passionate about sport, art, and music, with a strong background in one or more of these areas.
- Have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage challenging groups of children and young people.
- Be a UK Driver's License holder and able to drive a car within the role.
- Be committed to keeping young people safe, well, and free from harm, with a strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
